Randy Williams Is An Experienced Appraiser
Born in Baltimore in arguably the most epic decade for cars in American history, Randy first became interested in them as a child, after his father brought home a corvette that had been wrecked. Together, they worked on repairing it, eventually turning it into a winning show car.
His first job at 14 was as a painter’s helper in a local body shop. By the time he was 20, Randy had already opened up his own business, Randy’s Customs, where he specialized in wreck work and award winning paint jobs for show cars. From there, he expanded into general collision repair by completing extensive training programs.
With his years of experience, extensive training and numerous certifications under his belt, Randy was able to begin doing heavy collision losses, including framework and insurance claim jobs. His one man shop had expanded into a 10,000 sq ft. shop and 10 technicians.
Randy decided to step back from the day-to-day operations in 2006 and leased his shop, which opened an opportunity for him to begin working as an estimator full time. He started working as a regional auto appraiser for Auto Appraisal Network in 2010. By 2013, he opened his own territory in the mid-Atlantic.
Randy currently operates Collision Consulting of Maryland alongside Auto Appraisal Network, which focuses on late model vehicles. Randy is a member of the Insurance Consumer Advocate Network, The International Center for Automotive Research, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the International Automotive Appraisers Association, N.A.D.A. Advisory Board, SEMA and the A.M.A (Auto Mediators association). He has held ASE Certifications for collision repair, Non-structural Analysis/Damage Repair, Damage Analysis and Estimating, Structural Analysis/Damage Repair and is an I.A.A.A. Certified Master Appraiser.
